Die Laufbahnen bei einreihigen Schrägkugellager befinden sich in solcher Lage, dass die Verbindungslinie ihrer Berührungspunkte mit der Senkrechte des Lagers einen spitzen sogenannten Berührungswinkel einschließt.
Lager in der Ausführung B haben den Berührungswinkel α = 40° und verfügen über einen große Kugelanzahl mit gutem Anpassungsvermögen wodurch eine hohe Tragzahl gewährleistet ist.
Sie können eine Radialbelastung die gleichzeitig mit relativ großen Axialkräften in einer Richtung wirken, aufnehmen. Aus diesem Grund werden in der Regel zwei Lager gegenüber montiert, wodurch axiale Führung in beiden Richtungen erreicht wird.
Die einreihigen Schrägkugellager in der Ausführung AA haben den Berührungswinkel α = 26° und sind für Einlagerung mit relativ hoher Axialbelastung bestimmt.
Lager in Variante B und AA sind nicht, obwohl sie auf beiden Ringen nur einen Bund haben.
